CEBL Schedule Release
The Saskatchewan Rattlers set to take the floor on May 9th, 2019
SASKATOON, November 1, 2018 -
The Saskatchewan Rattlers, members of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), today announced the schedule for their inaugural season starting in May 2019.
Playing out of the SaskTel Centre, the Rattlers will play ten home games starting with their season opener on May 9th against the Niagara River Lions. The schedule also features two home-and-home series with the Edmonton Stingers (May 31-June 6, and August 8-9). Focusing mainly on Thursday night home games; the Rattlers, and CEBL will be a premium entertainment experience in Saskatchewan while keeping fans weekends free to enjoy the summer weather. Additional theme nights and special events will be announced closer to the start of the season.
Modelled after top international professional leagues, the CEBL is comprised of six original teams in Hamilton, Edmonton, Guelph, St. Catharines, Abbotsford, and Saskatoon. Each team plays 10 home and 10 road games using FIBA (International Basketball Federation) rules, and player and referee standards set by Canada Basketball. Rosters will be comprised of at least 70 percent Canadian players, many playing professionally in North America and overseas during the traditional basketball season.

The inaugural season promises to bring fast-paced professional basketball to the city of Saskatoon. The Season Ticket Deposit period is still open, ensuring fans first choice at their preferred seat in the SaskTel Centre.
