Carr was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team, and was one of the top 20 college players in America to join the NBA Elite Basketball Camp. As a sophomore, Carr averaged 19.6 points, 5.0 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 35.4 minutes, and started in all 37 games. Carr was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team. In his final season with Penn State he tied a career-high 14 assists on March 29th, had two career-high 33 point games, and made a career-high six 3-pointers in the Big Ten Tournament in a win over Northwestern playing Rattlers teammate Scottie Lindsey. Carr ended the season as the first player to reach 1000-point milestone as a Sophomore, ranked 23rd in Penn State’s career scoring.

Starting his professional career, Carr was selected in the second round of the NBA Draft by the New Orleans Pelicans. He played 10 games in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 NBA Summer League averaging 6.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 18.9 minutes. Carr moved to Italy for the 2018-19 season, where he played in Lega Basket for Fiat Torino and Acqua San Bernardo Cantu. Carr played 35 games between the two Italian teams averaging 12.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 30.3 minutes. He joined the Erie Bayhawks in the 2019-20 season averaging 9.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 22.9 minutes in 14 games. He rejoined the Bayhawks in the 2020-21 season averaging 8.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 20.5 minutes in 11 games.

“We are thrilled to be able to announce the addition of a player with Tony’s talent and experience to our teams”,  said Rattlers General Manager Barry Rawlyk. “He has played at the highest levels during his collegiate career and will bring a level of composure and understanding of how to play to the team, giving him the ability to make everyone around him better. He will bring toughness to every game he plays. He is just coming off of an injury so he is very eager to get back to competing and working towards his career goals. We believe the Rattlers organization can provide an environment that will allow him to do just that.”

“I’m excited for the opportunity to play with the team”, said Carr. “I can’t wait to get things going and get wins with the Rattlers.”

Saskatoon, Sask. - The Saskatchewan Rattlers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Wednesday that the franchise will reset their court back to the set-up in 2019 with centre court in the middle of SaskTel Centre underneath their state-of-the-art jumbotron that was newly-installed in 2022. The Saskatchewan Rattlers were inaugural hosts of Championship Weekend in 2019; which featured multiple stages, fan-focused entertainment, premium seating, and many opportunities for partners to interact with fans of Saskatchewan’s only professional basketball team.
