2024 Rattlers Schedule Released

Saskatoon, Sask. - The Saskatchewan Rattlers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced their schedule for the 2024 season on Tuesday. The Rattlers will celebrate their sixth season playing at SaskTel Centre, matching the total number of seasons from previous Saskatchewan teams; Saskatchewan Storm (90’ – 92’), Saskatoon Slam (92’ – 94’), and Saskatchewan Hawks (00’ – 02’). The 2024 schedule features a full 20-game slate with one potential home playoff game and Championship Weekend (CW24) happening in Montréal, QC from August 9-11, 2024.
The Rattlers aim to build on the successes of the 2023 season from fan experience to the talent on the hardwood. Fans can experience 10 home games in 2024 starting May 22 when the Rattlers host Winnipeg at Fan Appreciation Night at SaskTel Centre. The Rattlers play two more home games in May. They start a three-game road trip in Edmonton on June 2, returning home on June 12 to play Brampton, then alternate home and away games until a three-game homestand that features Western Conference rivals Winnipeg (July 11), Calgary (July 18) and Edmonton (July 18). Saskatchewan closes out their regular-season schedule with a three-game road trip before playoffs.

The Rattlers will be hosting five theme games throughout their home schedule. Fan Appreciation Night kicks off the season May 22, a celebration of inclusion and heritage during the Community Culture Game, and Kisiskâciwan Day returns June 20 honouring the Indigenous community. Fans will also see two new themes to be announced ahead of the season – Women in Sports Night, and Hops & Crops: Agriculture Appreciation Game.
“Our home schedule this year will be great for fans. With a good mix of weekdays and the odd weekend, we should see the Snake Pit rocking this summer,” said Rattlers Vice President, Brad Kraft. “The ‘new and improved’ Snake Pit brings fans closer to the game, and we are continuing to elevate the entire in-game experience so fans can have unique spaces and ways to enjoy every game of the 2024 season.”

The CEBL introduced a conference model of competition last season. The league’s 10 teams are divided into an Eastern and Western Conference. The Western Conference includes the Calgary Surge, Edmonton Stingers, Saskatchewan Rattlers, Vancouver Bandits and Winnipeg Sea Bears. The Eastern Conference includes the Brampton Honey Badgers, Montréal Alliance, Niagara River Lions, Ottawa BlackJacks, and Scarborough Shooting Stars.
The 2024 Championship Weekend takes place in Montréal from August 9-11. Host Montréal, along with the top-ranked team from the Western Conference, will automatically be seeded into the semifinals hosted at Championship Weekend.
The CEBL postseason will feature play-in games between the third and fourth-ranked teams in each conference. Winners will advance to the quarterfinals and play the second-best team of their respective conferences. The fifth-ranked team in each conference will be eliminated unless Montreal places fifth in the west, in which case the fourth-ranked west team will get eliminated. Quarterfinal winners in each conference will play their respective conference teams already seeded in the semifinals. The full postseason schedule will be revealed at a later date.
All games including playoffs will be live-streamed on CEBL’s OTT platform, CEBL+ Powered by BetVictor, on CEBL Mobile, the official app of the CEBL (available on Android and iOS devices), and on TSN+.
